Is God Pleased With Us

Is God pleased with us?

I am going to emphatically say yes!

Over the last week or so our Lord has been showing to me some things about this truth. It began when I read today's verse.

This illuminating truth, was something that

gave a deep thought about God being pleased with us.

You have to understand that the angels said, "peace to men, to men with whom He is pleased."

Who is this talking about?

God is pleased with men before Jesus was born, to show His peace towards men, all men,(mankind). With whom He is pleased.

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2 PETER 3:9 NASB

God is pleased with man to the point that He does not want any to perish. He wants every man woman and child to turn away from a life without Him, and turn to Him. To repent!

Now I have to point out the God is not pleased with man's sin. But in the beginning man was the crowning glory of God's whole creation. You could say that He saved the best for last.

Even right back there in the Garden of Eden, after sin entered into man, God made a promise to redeem man. He had the plan for Jesus to come. I like the way the amplified bible puts it.

And I will put enmity (open hostility) Between you and the woman, And between your seed (offspring) and her Seed; He shall [fatally] bruise your head, And you shall [only] bruise His heel.” GENESIS 3:15 AMP

God has never been angry or displeased with us. He knew us before we were born. He knew the path that our lives would take. He knew when we would be in the position and right state of mind to be led by the Spirit; to repent and turn from our life without Him. To begin to walk with God.

For while we were still helpless, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. ROMANS 5:6 NASB

For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” The Spirit Himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, heirs also, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him so that we may also be glorified with Him. ROMANS 8:15‭-‬17 NASB

God sees us as His children now through the Holy Spirit within our hearts. Through our acceptance of Jesus as savior.

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him. JOHN 3:16‭-‬17 NASB

God sent Jesus because He is pleased with us. Jesus was the sacrifice that God needed to remove our sin from us, because God is pleased with us. Jesus was raised back to life because God is pleased with us. Jesus went home to Heaven to act as our mediator Because God is pleased with us. God sent His Holy Spirit into the world because He is pleased with us.

God was pleased with us before He sent His Son. Before we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Now as we are in Him, I like to put it this way, 'God is well pleased with us.'

He has removed all of our sin away from us. Put it on Jesus at the cross. Not just ours who believe in Him, but everyone's even they who refuse to believe in Him.

Just in case you are not sure of this fact. Remember when the sin of the world was forgiven. It was on the cross when Jesus died as the sacrifice for the sin of the whole world.

and He Himself is the propitiation for our sins; and not for ours only, but also for those of the whole world.

1 JOHN 2:2 NASB

Before we were born or even thought of , God knew us and forgave us of our sin. We were not made righteous until we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, but we were already forgiven.

God is pleased with you, know that you are forgiven. You just have to accept it.
