Standing On The Word Of God

There seems to be much panic going around at the moment. I can understand that, to a point. The biggest problem with what is happening at the moment is a lack of understanding about what the Bible says about diseases and cleanliness! Psalm 91 is a great place to begin. Read the whole psalm over and over.

God’s Word is the antivirus for us who believe

A thousand may fall at your side And ten thousand at your right hand, But it shall not approach you. For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper And from the deadly pestilence. Psalms 91:3,7

Fear is the thing that makes us immune with the antivirus of God’s word. In Psalm 91 God clearly tells us not to fear. We should be dwelling in the shelter of the Most High God. Every minute of every day. God is our protector, if we do step out of that protection, then God is also our healer; but why take the risk?

No evil will befall you, Nor will any plague come near your tent. Psalms 91:1

As a Christian, a believer in the word of God we should not be living in fear of anything. If we are standing on the word of God, obeying the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. The new commandment that fulfills all of the law of sin and death, is to love one another, as Jesus loved us. We will live out the full life that God had planned for us. It does not matter what virus or disease is going around.

We have the Word of God, we should believe it, trust in it wholeheartedly. It is life to all of our body. If we do not trust the Word of God wholeheartedly we are not dwelling in the shadow of the Most High. We are not making God our refuge and strength. Here below is one account of John G Lake. Who did not have an inoculation against the Bubonic plague in the early 1900’s. He said it was the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus the protected him.

To demonstrate, he had them take live bubonic plague germs still foaming from the lungs of a newly dead person and put them in his hands, and then examine the germs under a microscope. The germs were dead! The energy and presence of God was invisible to the naked eye but magnified under the microscope’s lens—there proved to be a real formidable, existing power that killed the virus. This is how John G. Lake explained why he did not get sick—he carried the cure in his body and spirit to heal disease through the power of the Spirit through Jesus.

This is faith, Standing upon the word of God. Dwelling in the shadow of the Most High. It is knowing who we are and what we have in the Lord Jesus Christ. We all have this power within us, if we have the faith to believe it. Fear destroys faith; fear is a product of our minds. Fear is how our enemy attacks us. Even Job, said, “That which I had feared has come upon me!”

My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your sight; Keep them in the midst of your heart. For they are life to those who find them And health to all their body. Proverbs 4:20-22

I hope that you understand what I am saying. It is not that we should not care about what is happening with this virus, but we should not be letting it take control of our lives. We should be continuing to let the word of God control our thinking. The truth about this Coronavirus disease is that it is no more deadly than the cold, or flu viruses.

We do not get day to day reports upon how many people are dying of the flu virus. They are the weak susceptible people. The same will be and is true about this virus. There is more talk about it because it is a new strain of SARS, of which the cold and flu viruses are. None of these viruses would spread so much if everyone practiced proper hygiene procedures washing hands sneezing and coughing into disposable hankies. It is mostly just common sense. Our God has a name that is higher than the name of any virus.
