Those who wait upon/serve the Lord

Isaiah 40:25-31

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Joshua 24:21-31

The people basically said that they will serve the Lord.

People grow weary serving other things; people, jobs, money, even family; doing things to make others, or themselves happy. It becomes a focus. They can become idols of a sort, serving those things Taking focus away from serving God and His purposes.

And whatever you do in word or deed , do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father. Colossians 3:17

If we make the choice to serve God, To put God first in everything we do and say: that is to have God in mind in everything we do. He will not allow us to grow weary. We have to trust God. Jesus said seek first the Kingdom of God, and all of our needs will be supplied to us by God.

Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as unto for the Lord rather than for men. Colossians 3:23

It is having the attitude that God is our provider, our source of all that we need. Not our job; or our husband/wife. Not the doctor or the bank, money lenders. Not people, not anybody. Those who wait on/serve the lord will be blessed with every good thing that comes down from the father of lights.

Slaves, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of your heart, as to Christ; not by way of eye-service, as men pleasers, but as slaves to Christ, doing the will of God from the heart. With good will render service, as to the Lord, and not to men. Knowing that whatever good thing each one does, this he will receive back from the Lord, whether slave or free. Ephesians 6:5-8

Our strength will be renewed. We will mount up with wings as eagles........

Isaiah 26:3

Here are two verses that tell us to humble ourselves before God. If we do humble ourselves in His presence, it say that God will exalt us. 1 Peter 5:6, James 4:10

If we serve/put God first He will renew our strength.

If we serve/put God first He will cause us to rise as on wings of Eagles.

If we serve/put God first He will cause us to run and not grow weary.

If we serve/put God first He will not allow us to faint as we walk with Him.

because He will exalt us. We will not grow weary, as we will be doing all in His strength not in our own strength.
